17 again

I don't usually get too personal on my blog, but for some reason I feel the need to post some pictures of my room.  Now, as exciting as that sounds, you should know that these pictures are 8 years old.  That's right, my high school self's bedroom.  You're giddy with excitement, I just know it.  I'm glad I thought to take these pictures back then.  I think they say a lot about the person I was... or maybe they don't.  I'm leaning towards don't, but whatever.

Ah, it appears that (as far as messiness is concerned) not much has changed.  There are a few things I'd like to point out.  One That couch is bomb.com  Two I only had 3 purses?  Probably 3 more buried underneath all those clothes, but still... Three Why yes, that is a framed photograph of Jenn and I.  And yes, we did have it done at Target.  And no, it was not really a joke.  It's a wonder we had friends.  Four Power Ranger sheets?  I was a really neat person at 17.  Five What's on my window sill you ask? Remember when Burger King had Backstreet Boy action figures in each kids meal?  Yep, collected all five and haven't been back since.  Six I like to think that even at the tender age of 17 I saw the humor in this... seeing as how I chose to not clean things up before I snapped this picture.

What did I love more: Shane West or puppies?  It's hard to say.  All I know is this:  It is not fair that a 17 year-old can get away puppies and half-naked men on their wall, but a 25 year-old can not.  I wish I were 17 again.

I was a pretty big fan of Britney in high school, but you wouldn't know it by looking at these pictures.  I had a poster and a 12-month calender until my mom broke into my room one day and tore them to shreds while I cried in the corner.  Apparently she didn't think Britney was "modest" or "someone to look up to"... and she might have been onto something.  What did I know?  I just listened to Oops I Did it Again and thought her dance moves were cool in those Pepsi commercials...  those are cool moves.  Man, that takes me back.  I wish Britney were 17 again.

I miss her!

One - That room looks a lot like it has every other time I've seen it.

Two - The fact I did not know about/have not seen that Target picture makes me very, very sad.

Three - Shane West has a new show. On the CW I belive. I read about it in Cosmo, in which he is featured on one or two pages.

Four - The pink PowerRanger's name is Kim. I like to think that is a little "life foreshadowing."

You're wearing my brown shirt in those couple's pictures with Jenn. You two are so weird.

I will not take it back!

but on the bright side...

I have a belated birthday gift for you!

Unfortunately you cant post pictures in the comments section which is slightly ridiculous since my gift to you is a picture.

so put on your creative cap and imagine it with me...

Me and the cast of Labyrinth (yes, even Hoggle, Luto, and Ditymus) all wishing you warm birthday wishes whilst giving you the greatest gift of all...

Judge Marsha Revel.

Yes, that is right - Lindsay Lohan's judge. All yours! Now you can make her make Lindsay do WHATEVER YOU WANT!!!

(ie. reenact parent trap whilst cleaning your house?! Be a door greeter at Walmart? etc. etc.)

All up to you now! Lindsay's fate is in your hands!

So happy belated birthday blog buddy.

Taren, the first thing I noticed was that ugly picture of us. I cannot stop laughing that that was hanging on your wall. And that giant ugly picture of that puppy?! You were so much funnier than you realize in high school.
